A Fraction Of The Whole book cover redesign
A redesign for the cover of “A Fraction of the Whole Book.” The book focuses on overthinking, fear of death, and consumerism, and each element represents one thing in the story. The barcode symbolizes the whole, while the red line symbolizes the fraction. The brain symbolizes the origin of that fraction, and the spots represent the problems one faces in life.

Book design collaboration
As part of my graduate school project, "Exploring Ames," I collaborated with classmates to create a printed book featuring different spaces within Ames. Each student selected a location and designed 15 pages. I chose Cafe Diem, located on Main Street, and focused on how the space is used and its potential for redesigning it.
My design combines photography and hand-drawn doodles to craft a unique narrative. The story begins with a menu, imagined as a "ticket," inviting customers on a journey to space. Ordering coffee or sweets takes you on a whimsical adventure, experiencing the joy of floating above Earth through the delight of Cafe Diem’s offerings. This project ties into my previous rebranding of Cafe Diem, where I gave the coffee shop a futuristic, space-themed look, uniting both projects under a cohesive vision.
